Is it possible to stop connected disks sleeping?
We use 3 drives hooked to a hub hooked to the AEBS, we use 3 laptops in the house.
the disks are constantly spinning down and sleeping after about 5 mins of none use, making it a nightmare
anyone know how I can stop them sleeping?
thanks

I think most issues like that are hardware related. Those 'green sleep' functions, use less energy etc.

Don't they just spin up again when you need them anywhere.

when you say hardware do you mean the drives/enclosures themselves?
I build the drives with JBOD enclosures so not sure what the settings would be.

and they do spin up but with 6 disks in 3 enclosures and 3 people they are spinning up and down ALL the time, they are louder when they spin and I'm worried about wear, spinning up and down is what kills a drive.
