Airport Express - any alternatives?

My old airport express has now failed (model A 1088) bought some 10 years ago, and would like to hear if there are any alternatives people recommend.

Depends what you need. There are bazillion of good routers out that are much more capable than that old Express.

If you were using it just to stream music, consider a non router for that, like a Chromecast or the equivalent.
