Airport express: how to extend wifi with another devices

Hi team!!

I have a airport express 2nd gen, working perfectly and connected to the broadband modem.

I would like to extend wifi range using any of my two order devices I have: a linksys wrt54gl with tomato firmware and a dlink wifi extender.

Is there a way to extend ax range using non-apple devices? For example Wrt has wds support.

Since I am still getting nowhere, I decided to put togheter a graph of what I want to accomplish.

At the moment I am stucked with two devices that can't repeat the AE signal.

Any help?
