Is this possible? I'm using the Airport Express to extend my Airport Extreme 802.11n base station, and I want to run a PC to the express via ethernet bc the wireless card on it is garbage. The PC will not pick up an IP address when it connects to the airport express. Is there a TCP/IP or ethernet setting that I need to change in windows to make this work?

Sure it's possible. I used to have a similar setup.

Use AirPort Admin Utility to check the Base Station Options. Make sure Enable Ethernet Port is checked. You may also need SNMP Access enabled in the same window. :)

a few more details, please

I have a similar situation.

DSL modem connected to time capsule via ethernet

MacBook Pro and Time capsule, connected via ethernet for backups and DSL

PC connected to time capsule via ethernet for DSL service

all working well...

- now -

I want to back up my PC to time capsule, and have installed Airport. When I run it, it says it can't find any apple wireless devices. I see the Base Station heading on the PC version, but all the sub-options are greyed out.

How do I get the PC and time capsule to see each other?
