There is already a router in my house paired with the ISP modem and a desktop PC but it's not located in my room. Is there any way I can use both without connecting an ethernet cable to the Airport Express or one of them? It's not as easy as drilling a hole through the wall. I would like to play my tunes wirelessly in my bedroom, I know I can do this alone without the ethernet but I would also like to take advantage of its Wi-Fi functions.

You can set the Airport Express to Join a Wireless network, rather than having to plug in a cable.

Yes you can have it "Join the Current Network" for Airplay capabilities, but I don't think you can have it "Extend The Network", for wifi range extending, without having the main router an Apple brand.
