I have extended my wifi network by using Airport Extreme (the AC Model) and two Airport Express in two adjoining rooms. I have a 2011 Mac Mini (which does not support AC) in one of the rooms. I would like to know if I will get faster Internet access by connecting the mac-mini to the ethernet port of airport express or by using wifi (I also have an AC adapter which will make the mac-mini AC bandwidth compatible). If I were to connect the mac-mini with ethernet wire please let me know whether I should use the WAN connector (the one which is closest to the power supply) or the Ethernet Connector. Also let me know as to which will give me the fastest speed - the add on AC adapter (Edimax AC Adapter with maximum speed of 433Mbps (5GHz))or the ethernet connector on the Airport Express.

Use the ethernet port.

If it is possible to hardware, that is always a better, more efficient, more stable solution.

Using the "extend network" feature with the airports will cut the bandwidth in half. If you can hard ware right to the router that best.
