So I got a new airport express and have now a wireless network in my room. Because I keep my computer connected to a wired connection, but still have my wireless on for the use of the airtunes function, I was wondering if the computer uses the wired connection or the wireless for the internet.

If you select your wireless connection at the bottom of your iTunes interface, then it's using the wireless connection. Otherwise, no.

Is the Express hooked up to a dsl/cable modem? Is their another wireless router in the house? If "no" to both questions, I don't see how you could be wirelessly connected to the internet.
