airport Exress ?

I have an airport express, plugged into the wall, then an Ethernet cable running to a 4 port switch, then an ethernet cable running to my Cable router. The Switch is also connected to my iMac. The airport is for my wireless, but it doenst work? any thought? When I plug it in is starts Green, then turns to amber, do I need some software installed on my iMac, I dont remember getting any with it, but I might have.

Airport Utility is usually located under Applications/Utilities. For some reason Apple makes this software impossible to find online, so I imaged my Airport Extreme disc for you.
