Hi all,

Just wondering if some of you guys have tried this 5 port switch from net gear with the Apple airport extreme.

What i want to do is to plug that switch to one of the airport extreme ports in order to extend ports ability.

Any ideas or thoughts?

Thanks

That's a lot of money for a 100mbps switch. There are gigabit switches which cost less. I have never had any issue using any brand of switch with the AEBS.

I've had good luck with pretty much any switch as well--there's no reason a properly functioning one shouldn't work. I happen to be using the GREENnet TEG-S80G 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch at the moment, which is the second link the other poster provided above (it was a Lightning Deal on Amazon while back), and it's worked great for me--plus it's cheaper, gig, and has more ports than most of the others. Only downside for me is that the link light (and everything else) is on the opposite side as the Ethernet ports, but that's just a personal preference.
