Looking at a AirPort Extreme Base Station for my Wi-Fi...

But I run Win7 via Bootcamp on my iMac and I was wondering if there are any pitfalls I should know about before buying?

Will Win 7 work with the APE?

How about the setup?

Also will I still be able to use the wi-fi signal for my iPhone and iPad with the iMac running windows? 😕

I left PC and Windows over nightmarish issues related to any thing and everything to do you name it... new routers, trouble... new video cards, trouble...

But I still run games via Win7...

Its nice to actually be able to just plug something in and the set up runs flawlessly, I never experienced this until I bought my iMac.

So is there anything I need to know about before buying?

Win 7 works just fine with Airport - the configuration utility is available for Windows, so you could even run it as your network without any Macs at all.

Once the router is set up, it takes care of itself. You can connect your iPhone and iPad whether you're running Windows, OSX or if your iMac is turned off completely. There's also a config app for the iPhone/iPad.
