Airport Extreme Base Station Stops Phone Connection

Hello,
I just got an AirPort Extreme today to use as my new Wireless router. I am having some trouble getting it to connect to the internet though. Whenever I plug in my AirPort to the phone cord I get no dial tone on my phone. I am using my old router to type this by the way. Any Solutions?

If I understand you correctly, you're trying to plug the AEB directly into the phone socket?

The AEB needs a separate cable/adsl modem as it doesn't have one built in.

If your old router has a built in modem (I guess it must have) then you can try putting that in bridge mode ie disable the router part of it, and plug the AEB into that for the router/wireless functions
