I don't know a huge amount about my mac, might aswell admit that now :) but hope someone can help me out with this problem.

I use a 12 inch g4 powerbook that's just overyear and a half old. I've just bought an airport extreme card for it and am having problems installing the card. I put the card in the slot under the battery but once it's in I can't connect the aerial to the card. My powerbook was bought in the UK and the airport extreme card in France, could this be the problem? It really doesn't want to seem to fit and apple stuff is usually simple even for me. Don't want to break it by forcing it.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Good idea, don't force it. If you're in the UK, you can stop by an Apple Store and get them to have a look at it. I believe that Apple parts are internationally compatible, generally speaking.

I once had a problem installing an Airport Express card into my friend's 14" iBook. But not the aerial, the actual card would only slide about halfway in. I didn't want to break it, so I just pushed it in as much as I could with minimum force. It worked, but occasionally OS X would say that there was no Airport card present. So I had another look and gave it a bit more oomph and it worked. Now I don't suggest you do that, but that's what the Apple Store people might have to do for you.

Hi, thanks for you reply. I've managed to get it into the computer now, took a bit of wiggling, pushed the aerial connection a bit harder and it went in. I managed to chip a tooth in the process (don't ask!) but at least the airport card's in properly now :)
