Right now I have have an external HDD connected to my MacMini, have my iTunes library on the external HDD and then set that library as the library on my iMac. That allows me to sync my iPhone with my MacMini's external HDD when over wifi when connected to my iMac. However, when I move that same external hard drive to the Extreme, set it as my iTunes library on my iMac I can watch video and listen to music on my iMac, but when I try to sync the iPhone iTunes just gives me a beach ball and I have to force quit.

I find it strange that I can sync my iPhone to my MacMini's external hard drive over the network when I connect my iPhone to my iMac, but I can't sync to that same external hard drive when I have it connected to my Extreme.

Am I doing something wrong or is that functionality just not there?

TheBritishBloke, on the Extreme, yes. On the Express, no.
