Ok lets see if I can explain.....

I used to have an iMac which I sold.
I had configured a program (securityspy) to view some cameras from home
I have a new computer (Mac)
When I get into the configuration of the airport extreme it still shows that has assigned by default an ip address to the old imac. The new computer has been assigned a new ip, what I need is to assing the IP the old iMac had to the new one so that configuration of security spy works... can anyone help me?

thanks

I beleive it is a dumb question, but I would really appreciate if someone can help me

it sounds like you are trying to access from outside the local network, which means you have a port forwarded to the old address.

could you change the port forward to the new address?

i think the newer extremes allow you to set the IP from the base configuration but I'm not sure

but probably the easiest would be to manually set the ip on the new computer, under network settings.
