Actually... I like Airport Utility better than than the 192.168.1.1 interface of my old linksys and Netgear routers. I always thought Airport Utility is a simple, easy, and consistent setup of devices. I am not crazy about the replacement program which was released last week... but maybe I'm just not accustomed to it yet.
Personally, I do not think either versions look like iTunes... but I would guess that is subjective.

I don't have a problem with the interface. It's just an "ease of access" problem. One needs an additional piece of software. If one has a Mac, it's no big deal because it's already on there. If one has Windows, then one needs to download something before it can be setup. And if all one has is Linux it is even more work. A browser provides an easy, OS independent way of managing the device.
