Anyone use a USB splitter and hook up their printer and USB-external hard drive?

Yes, many people here have used a USB hub to connect multiple devices to their Extremes. It even states that you can do so in the instruction manual.

Keep in mind, you may need a powered USB hub, especially if your external HDD is bus powered.
