Click to expand... The airport extreme has a WAN port you plug your modem into. Does it look like rubbish? No, this is the way all routers work.

P pieseller macrumors member Original poster Aug 5, 2007 61 0 Mar 4, 2008 #3 ive currently got a router and modem in one box. all i do is plug the phone cabel in the back and thats the only device there is. its old now and i need a new one. so if i were to get an air port extreme i guess i will need a new modem to plug into it?
