Airport Extreme Temp?

I just purchased an Airport Extreme and had a few questions.

I am placing it on the top of my mini-fridge due to the location of the coax cable and the setup of my room...

Is this a bad idea? the top of the fridge does not get too hot but I have noticed the Airport warms it up a bit.

I have also noticed that the Airport gets quite warm itself and was wondering if this was normal or not? and is it okay to place it on the top of the fridge?

As long as there is airflow around it should be fine. The top of the extreme is basically a giant heatsink covered in plastic so it will get warm in operation.

Awesome. Thanks for the quick input. It's pretty open on all sides. Guess I'll just have to get used to it and not worry about it.
