Airport Extreme Upgrade in Future?

Hi all,
My router has died and I need to buy a new one. I'm thinking about the airport extreme base station but considering apple's update cycle, I'm worried it may be due for an update soon. Any news/rumors on this?

No rumours as of yet. Normally Apple will just release an update without a fanfare and be done with it.

If you need an Apple router, then I would just get one. Any changes are not going to be dramatic.

i hope apple will release a new time capsule that will have the same look like the new macmini.

They may wait until more 3 stream n devices appear. The current hardware supports 3 stream except they will need to add another antenna. I would love it if they added Airtunes as well but I don't see it. The current AEBS is not particularly cost competitive and they need something new to differentiate it.
