I have 3 of them given to me, 2 Express and one of the dome shaped Extremes. Which one would I rather use? What are the differences?

    What are your needs?
what's your current setup? do you already have a wireless network? a wired network?

I'm sure we could fill up several pages of suggestions for uses and combinations of the 3 things.

You should be able to check out the apple site, and find out what they do. and see what would be applicable in your situation.

All I really wanted to know was what was the difference between the two...or are they the same? I didnt find the older dome shaped one on Apple's site.

longer range on the extreme. It also has more than one ethernet port, if I am not mistaken.

Express is good around an apartment. In addition, it is the only one that allows playing music wirelessly through airtunes.

Extreme domed manual from the airport manuals page

the domed extreme only has 2 ethernet ports, one for WAN one for LAN it is 802.11 B/G

the expresses could be B/G or B/G/N (only N if they are less than a year old)
