I currently have four Airports in my house. Two Extreme A/Cs, one Extreme N, and an Express. They are all hard wired back together through a switch. The main Extreme that is handling all the routing is in an equipment closet so the wireless doesn't reach very far from that one. Would disabling the wireless on that one free it up to be more efficient on the routing side of things?

It won't be more efficient routing your traffic. The only reason for disabling WIFI could be to avoid too many WIFI signals in close proximity to each other.
I use WIFI scanner (paid) to see how my WFI bands are utilized and to determine the best channels to use.
