airport problem

is something wrong with my airport because it says im connected to an adhoc network but i think im not. At first, the signal strength is at full but when i got connected it suddenly drops to zero but saying that im connected. Another thing is when i create my own network, the signal strength from my own network is zero. pls help i cant play warcraft 3 with my friends via the airport.
