i just set up my router (d-link wbr-1310) to my PC with Ethernet cable and my imac connects wireless via airport. I can connect to the net no problem with both machines but when i open airport it says airport:scanning then 2 seconds later it will say airport on. this isn't causing me trouble at all but i was just wondering why it would say scanning when i initially open airport. thx

It always does that. When you click the airport menu it just scans for other networks to connect to. It's normal behavior.
