Has anyone else had this experience? I got an external monitor recently, and Im running my MBP in clamshell mode. Ever since I've started this the internet has been noticeably slower. Is there any way around this? I'm using a cheap Trendnet wireless router - would it improve if I were to switch to an AEBS or TimeCapsule (which I'm thinking about getting anyway)?

Buy a cat5 cable. $10 vs $200 for an Airport.

the antenna of the mbp is around the lcd screen, when closed, this is lower and therefore in a weaker position compared to if the screen was open

also, time capsule is simply a wireless router, youll need a modem as well..
