Hi all, new to macs and trying to learn. I've purchased an older iBook Indigo, which I'm told was one of the first to have the integral Airport card. I've gotten OS X 10.2 installed on it. I'm having some trouble getting onto wireless networks. It seems that the 10.2 software for Airport doesn't support the latest, greatest encryption, so I can't log on to most networks with my Airport.

Is there anyway to upgrade just the portion of 10.2 that controls Airport so that I can work with the newer encryptions? I'm given to understand that 10.2 is about the best I can get on my Indigo.

Wifi USB dongles are available, but your computer has USB 1.1 ports, so their speeds would be prohibitively slow, if they work at all.

Sorry.
