Airport?

Hey all, recently got a refurb core duo mini for xmas😀 😀 😀 , and its great, well chuffed, however I think I may have a problem. Its connected wirelessly over airport using a wep pass, the router is only a few rooms away, about 10-15 metres? Anyways it connects fine etc, but the airport indicator at the top right keeps alternating in connection strength, one minute it'll be 4 bars, the next one, then 2 etc etc, for no apparent reason, nothing has moved position etc etc, seems to be totally random, this is my first wireless comp so I'm just wondering if this may be normal? thanks for any help 🙂

Probably some inteference in the signal...

Note that 2.4GHz cordless phones and microwaves (when on) can adversely affect 802.11 signals, as can other wireless or Bluetooth devices.

what company makes the wireless router and have you checked the antennas to see if they are secure? the point about electronics is a good one.
