Ok was a bit disappointed about this. I was really excited for this feature. I downloaded the update last night. Wow it took forever. I open an picture and hit print.. Kept trying to search for a printer on my network no dice. Only supports 11 HP printers.. :( very disappointed... Anyone have any info if they will be beefing that up at all?

In the mean time, take a look at Ecamm's Printopia. It makes any printer currently used on your mac (including any networked) show up on an iOS device. So far, it works perfectly well (networked Brother through Airport). You can also print to PDF.

It does require a Mac running to print, but any other method (including the one Apple had originally planned for non-native AirPrint printers) would have had the same requirement.

Thanks gr8tfly. I will look into that. I have a mac so that is helpful. I have a Canon printer... Not that it matters.. i will defiantly look into that. Thanks again.

Very diasappointed as well. iGrocery prints perfectly fine to my HP c7250 (I assume this is network printing) but AirPrint doesn't even see it. They should have used a hybrid solution - to only support 11 HP printers seems silly.

You can also try AirPrint Hacktivator (it's free). Easy to set up. I got it working with an older hp all-in-one printer and an epson printer I have. Took only a minute or two. Here's the link:

Best feature yet. Especially on the HP ePrint printer.
