Hopefully the app will let you know when the battery is getting low. Nothing like needing to find something only to find out the battery is dead... 💀

Agreed, i'd also like to see a "item not seen in X weeks" function. I've lost items, checked on FindMy to discover there's a problem, and the item can't be seen. It would have been good to know it wasn't working when I knew where the item was. Anyone not wanting this function can just not enable it, like 'notify when i leave'

I recently lost something with an AirTag attached, it was recording it as being at home with me. I happened to know that it wasn’t, fortunately I had it shared when the item was removed and reshared I found exactly where it was because it caused a refresh. That is annoying and could potentially have lost me the item if it wasn’t shared with another Apple ID
