Airtag beeping volume and luggage?

Hi, just asking, how loud is the airtag beep if I want to track my luggage when I fly ?

You can see where the luggage is located. You obviously can't hear the luggage when it's in the luggage compartment of the airplane. Screenshot from Athens, Greece, yesterday.

You may not hear it, but if someone is standing within a few meters of it, they will hear the beeping (provided the ambient noise isn't too bad). Additionally, mine won't beep unless the phone is within range.
