AirTag-ging the AirPods Pro

You know.. the no.1 misplaced item is my AirPods Pro. I never misplaced my keys, my wallet since they stay in the same place forever at home, but that AirPods Pro, they just can’t be found.
Due to Apple’s obvious omission of any U1 chip in the AirPods Pro, here is my solution.

Update: Haha! Goodbye to the duct tape. My case finally arrived.

Keyring holder for AirTag: Belkin ~USD12.62
I ordered another keyring holder for Airtag for ~USD3.7🤣

I’m totally meh about AirTags but this, THIS could push me over the fence. Misplace my airpods case at least once a day. Not the pros. But that’s a debate for another day.

I’ve done the same thing. I’d be shocked if Apple did not build it into the case and the pencil on the next revision.

I suspect it's similar to why people have been putting their AppleTV remotes into cases that support AirTags - having UWB available to find where you put them in the house.

Otherwise, you can look at this until you're blue in the face

Have you tried it.. The Airpods Pro tracking is barely usable.. its slow slow.. I quickly went back to the Airtag when I actually tried it. I hope they put a popper mini Airtag in the new version.

It basically oBly updates when the case is opened. My AirPods Pro last updated themselves yesterday at 16:42. It’s now 8 am. The AirTag thats attached to the case is showing me it’s location right now.
