Hi there I am currently using FCPX for editing a video all the while using my AKITIO SSD external device for storage. I have used it many times with no issues until today. While trying to export a copy of the video I am creating the external device dissapered and will not show back up. Anyone out there have any info on fixing this situation? My FCPX was crashing this morning and when the video was 40% exported the whole computer shut down. Very worried because it is the only storage space I had for that project

No over heating while exporting. I thinK my SSD AKITIO 512 GB has died. I ended up driving back to the location to reshoot everything. I will send out the hard drive to hopefully recover some videos.
