Anything to be "concerned" about here? I've noticed that my battery on my MBA M3 15" is certainly not as good as my previous MBA M2 13". And when I mean concerned, I will still use my computer like I normally do and not really "fret" over this. It's a consumable item, and some batteries are better than others, even though they are supposed to be the same.

I have Al Dente set to 80 % with a 5 % sailing variance and have done so since day one of owning this computer (mid-March 2024). Is Al Dente (if I am reading this correctly) reporting that I only have 94 % maximum battery capacity?

I'd wait until 100 cycles before I concluded anything. And even then, unless it is under 90%, I wouldn't waste time complaining. Batteries are variable, and you'll never get the perfect one.

That said, Coconutbattery reports my 13" M3 MBA to be at 102% after 39 cycles. 🤫

just use your mac and don't worry about the battery. if it's defective apple will replace it. all batteries will age.

sometimes i think giving consumers a percentage or health indicator was the wrong thing. nobody worried about batteries for decades but now we're all paranoid about them suddenly dying lol.

Al Dente and I are not friends. I had to constantly reset it. Must have been me, but I was disappointed. C'est la Vie.

What does coconut say? The macOS 80% limit works well if you have your MBA mostly connected to power.
