Alan Young - Wilbur Post from TV's Mr. Ed, has died.

    The AP, NBC, and CNN are all reporting this. For all who have watched classic TV or seen anything from Hollywood in its golden days, you would definitely know Alan Young. Younger kids (read: my generation) would (not?) have recognized him as Scrooge McDuck from DuckTales (I sure as hell didn't put the voice together), and The Time Machine.

    But I'll always know him from Mr. Ed. I'll let the story pick it up from here.

    This leaves only Connie Hines (Carol Post) as the last surviving member of the cast.

    Glad I bought the box set when it came out, but I am looking forward to a Mr. Ed marathon should Nick at Nite's TV Land decide to run one.

    I remember watching that show mostly in reruns. A simple light fun show for the family.

    I had no idea he was still alive. I always liked his affable character.
