thanks, but i looked at the reviews and they were terrible! Are you being sarcastic, because I only saw 1-star reviews. Does the alarm go off if the ipad is in sleep mode?

For timer stopwatch check out chronolite, works good.

Yeah, that was one of the first things I looked for. I was surprised there was no clock function at all.

Presumably, most iPad owners have a smartphone.. Seems to me an alarm/clock type apps are much more suitable to a phone (rather than a 10" tablet) form factor..

No I wasn't being sarcastic. I use the iHome app every day and I am very happy with it. Since it's for free, you don't lose anything in trying it out. Worst case you'll end up deleting it.

I use Alarm Clock HD - there is a free version and a paid version. From memory, the paid version removes adverts and allows you to pick music as your wake up sound.
