I'm looking for an alarm clock ringtone that isn't loud/intense. I rather gradually wake up instead of jumping when it goes off.

Maybe go through all of the ringtones provided by Apple and choose the one you like?! There are plenty to choose from.

The stock Bedtime will wake you with a gentle tone that gradually increases in volume,

You can also make one of your own and import it to your iPhone. Your own alarm ringtone does not even need to be a ringtone. A song will suffice.

Why don’t you get an alarm app that you can choose music or a playlist? I’ve been using Alarm Clock HD every day for years and it works reliably and good. Alarm Clock HD by Impala Studioshttps://itunes.apple.com/us/app/alarm-clock-hd/id441922503?mt=8

I've used some of the ringtones that were provided by Apple but didn't care for them. That was new and classic tones. I don't see the stock bedtime tone.

I've downloaded a few different tones over the years. One that I found after I posted this last night is Solar Wind. I'll look into that alarm app to see what it has to offer.

"Bedtime" isn't a tone, it's a submenu within the Clock app. At the bottom, instead of choosing Alarm, choose Bedtime. You can set a wake time, and a Wake Up Sound, and the sound starts out really softly and increases in volume if it's not Snoozed or Canceled. I really like the "First Light" tone...it's a very gentle wake up.

I believe I briefly looked at Bedtime before but thought it would have an alarm go off at the same time every day. I'm fairly consistent. I usually goto sleep around 12:50am and wake most mornings at 7:12 but that can change each day. I just set it to go off in a few minutes to try it out.

I see you have a Apple Watch. If you are looking for a tone that isn't intense, the Apple Watch fits the bill. Why aren't you using it?

I've never thought about using my watch as an alarm clock. I'll check that out too. It sits on the nightstand while I'm sleeping.
