I updated to the GM on Friday. On Monday morning, it's like my alarm didn't go off until I picked up my phone. Not sure the deal there, but I'm not scratching my head on that one.

I have a clock app I use at night when my phone is plugged in (Red Clock). But, I still use Apple's built-in alarms (not the new Bedtime functionality). In iOS 9, when the alarm went off, I'd get a pop-up in the middle of my screen asking if I wanted to turn off the alarm or snooze. Now, with iOS 10, when I have my clock app on and my alarm goes off, I just get the alarm sound but just notification at the top of my phone. No option to snooze. Hitting the physical Home button turns off the alarm, but I am not able to snooze.

I need snooze! How do I get it back?

I don't think Apple made a way to do what you want. It seems that Apple expects you to sleep with your iPhone screen off. When my alarm goes off, my snooze or stop option is on the lock screen.

Well, that's disappointing. Can someone remind me how 3rd party alarms work in iOS? Does the alarm app have to be open? Or can it work if I have another app open or the phone locked?

I believe 3rd party clocks have to remain on screen, but I could be wrong. I haven't used any. My needs are kinda simple for an alarm, so I just use the stock one.

I feel like my needs are simple too! I just want to be able to snooze without the phone locked!

Do the volume buttons work as snooze like it does when locked?

Not sure. Have never used them. I'll try tomorrow. If I can remember while half asleep.

So, yeah, volume buttons still work to snooze. But again, sometimes hard to remember when waking up. But I guess that is what I'll have to do.

Can you tap on the notification or pull it down?
At least for me if I pull the notification down I get options to snooze and stop the alarm.

I don't believe so. Thought I tried that. I'll try it again tomorrow morning.
