Album Art Not Syncing

Is anyone else having trouble with downloaded iTunes Album Artwork?

I am using the iOS 10 GM (iPhone 6s) and MacOS Sierra GM and my iTunes library is not syncing downloaded album art to my iPhone. Whenever I do try and sync it actually removes all the downloaded album art from the iTunes library itself (only downloaded art).

This means every time I sync my phone I have to download all album artwork all over again and even then it only shows on iTunes and does not sync the artwork to my iPhone.

I have deleted all cache and album art folders and restored from a backup. I don't use iTunes Match and Apple Music is turned off.

Has anyone got any suggestions.

This happened to me as well, all though in my case it appears to be random. for an example, there are songs from iTunes Store which shows album art on my iPhone, but others don't. Some songs I've added myself show album art, others don't. I should point out in my case, all album art has been added to the file by me, so no album art downloaded from apple.
Which songs that are afflicted also changes from time to time.

If you look back in history Apple has always had issues with album artwork or artists artwork in brand new releases of either iTunes or iOS's and it usually takes them a couple updates or more to finally get it working.

It's basically the same with all new public releases of iTunes or iOS in that your the tester or the guinipig until Apple irons it all out.

This was a problem for me in iOS 9 as well, so I don't think that's behind it.

Not sure what version of iOS 9 your using but I can tell with certainty that there is no problem with artwork on 9.3.5 I have over 5,000 songs both my own which I imported the artwork manually and purchased iTunes and there all showing for me.
