The last iTunes update reordered my albums. Albums begining with "The" are now sorted by the second word in the title. Is there anyway to undo this?

Yeah, I could have sworn my 3G used to sort without the "THE" before the update, but now... but my brother swears his ipod (nano) always sorted that way, my 5.5G ipod certainlly always has.

Inside the iTunes application, there's the following file:

/Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/Localizable.strings,

which you can edit. You can tell iTunes to ignore the "The" at the beginning of the bands name.

I'm sure you can find a step-by-step description how to do it in the net.

Edit: Sorry, now I see you're talking about the Album name. I'm not sure if that's the same situation.

Mine doesn't skip "The". They run in strict alphabetical order by the first letter (5g 30gig iPod).
