i just put an alias into my movies folder for the west wing (compelete series).

i was wanting to use front row to view them, but then decided to make an alias for my whole video collection (i store them on a server), just to make everything easier. so i highlighted the west wing alias icon, and dragged it to the trash can. and thus the alias stayed while the west wing complete series was deleted off the server.

is there anyway i can get those files back? kind of freaking out here. that was my favorite show and i watch it all the time to help me go to sleep or when i'm bored.

any help would be greatly appreciated

What kind of server is it?

I'm guessing it's not backed up.

I'm sure you'll be able to get some software recovery utilities for it.

    the server was my backup....

its a 350mhz sawtooth, with agp graphics capability.

two 250 gig caviar drives and a 20 gig boot drive. stays in a well ventilated closet, wired into the network.
