As for the picture: It doesn't even look like anything. It looks like a rock. At least, fakes should look like there is something there.
It wasn't released here at that time! Think about it though, what better place to beta test a new product than far away from the prying eyes of everyone on earth?

FWIW, that image isnt fake, just unexplained. It appeared long before computers could do that kind of thing.

^^ WOW thats effin weeeeeird! i assumed it was shopped straight away then i realised the photo was taken in the '60s.
the arm/head are around the wrong way for it to be a spaceman haha
isnt it weird how a camera lense can create an optical illusion that looks like a human figure.

It's a real photo. It's a lot like photos from my childhood vacations -- a lot of uninteresting photos of indistinguishable and unremarkable rock formations.
The sky+man look a lot like a backdrop to me.
It's real, it was on CNN yesterday. Though that could mean it is totally untrue.. Haha But the rovers are currently active and still taking great pictures, so I say REAL.
