All availability 3-4 weeks?

So looking at Apple, Best Buy and even Verizon they all show 3-4 weeks shipping times. I have tried istocknow and not much luck on the model I want. Is there a best time to search these companies for “pick up” when stock does come in? I grill I’ll place an order with Apple and check all these sites to see if it pops up on available sooner than my ETA

I think it's just random luck!! Target are showing a couple in stock by me and I picked up a Nike LTE at bestbuy yesterday (was actually in buying a ceramic heater but out of curiosity I asked if they had any stock and they had one left)
