Let's see. Your iPod bent for "no stupid reason." What I make out of this, is that your iPod had a good reason to bend. Is it of those old ones with the metal backing? I am guessing that you sat down with it in your back pocket.

    Putting that aside.

If your iPod bent, whether the reason was good or not, and you are having problems. It is possible that something inside got bent as well. This could cause a little connector inside to get knocked out of place, or possible something inside bent and broke, or bend and is causing a short on the EFI shielding or other metal innards of the device.

The fact that your home button was stuck, tells be the bent part is near the bottom, where the charging port is located. When it got bent, it probably knocked your home button out of place. If your home button is held down while booting, it might not boot properly, as the device will be confused.

Was your charging cable plugged in when it got "bent for no good reason?"

If it was, you charging cable or charging port could have also been bent for the same reason. Have you tried using a different USB data/charging cable?

My Ipod bent because they said either the case or temperature. I did not put it in my back pocket and sit on it. It's an expression. Anyways I'd say the bent part could be repaired with a specialist or some ****. $70 for the repair. I need help reseting or getting it out of the loop thoe
