All events duplicated

I have updated to iOS 5 and now all of my calendar events are duplicated. I've tried checking that box on itunes that it will replace everything on your phone from your computer's calendar next time you sync, but it didn't help.

happened to me as well... mine doubled the hockey season entries for the teams i follow....all 82 of them.
