Hey Guys and Gals,

any buying advice on an all-in-one inkjet printer that...

A) prints
B) faxes
C) scans
D) copies
E) prints directly on blank CD/DVDs
F) ideals is sub-$200

Thanks!

Only two brands print to optical media. Canon & Epson. If you get a Canon and you live in the US you'll have to hack the printer to get it to print and buy a CD tray off of eBay(~$10). I have a Canon Pixma MP830 and it is by far the best all-in-one and even just printer I've ever used. Prints well to optical media now that I set the Firmware to Euro and not US.

I would definitely recommend the Canon Pixma series. Well built, cheap ink, full of options, great Mac drivers and produces great results.

I completely agree! Go with a Canon Pixma. They are really good!
