All the iTunes songs I've purchased over the years disappear if I try to add something from Apple Music (they weren't downloaded, just in the cloud to save local space). What is this garbage?

just downloaded iTunes 12.2, they are all disappeared from there as well...just the handful of songs I added from Apple Music are there.

edit - so apparently I have to have them all downloaded on one of my devices for it to show in Apple Music, iTunes in the cloud is now gone apparently.
