iPhone 7/Plus All messages deleted, but still taking up space

I recently deleted ALL my messages, as they were taking up significant space on my iPhone 7 Plus - over 11GBs. I deleted all of them, updated my iOS and did a hard reset, but it’s still showing that the messages are taking up space on my phone. Any suggestions? Google search didn’t yield helpful results

Read somewhere that there's smth like 'Recently deleted' folder for messages. Have you deleted them more than 3-4 days ago?
