$40 for Navigon USA, panorama view, and live traffic? Wow that's a great deal. Can anyone tell me the difference between the normal view and panorama view also does live traffic work well?

Someone at my office just told me that live traffic will only work if you have some kind of live traffic system set up in your city. Does anyone know if this is true?
