Reading between the lines, it seems that the GM version of Tiger (OSX 10.4) is a bit more of a beta than a final release. This is one that will be duplicating as we speak and hence the one that we will buy. I reckon that Apple would like 10.4.1 ready for the automatic updates on the day of release so that fewer people experience the bugs that must be in 10.4.0! 🙄
I still remember how buggy Panther (OS X 10.3.0) was on release for some people.
