Ok, I left Apple for a bigger screen but don't see a good reason other than iphone's screen is easier to see in bright sunlight. What else? specs seem to favor the note

The Galaxy Note 4 massacures every cell phone. However the iPhone 6 Plus does meet the note 4 halfway. The iPhone 6 plus may not have QHD display but it does have 1080p on a 5.5" screen. I'm curious to see what the Apple A8 CPU is clocked at, how much RAM and mAh capacity.

If you have mostly apple devices in your family, it'd be ludicrous to switch now specially with the continuity features in iOS 8

So you concede, Note 4 is better? Haha At least I know you don't work for Apple

    I did?

Never understood the need to announce on an Apple Board that you are buying a non-Apple product.

    Good luck

Ok the pros of the iPhone 6+ is the smaller width, depth and weight. It might be taller but that's not something that will affect how you hold the phone unless you place your fingers on the top and bottom of the phone.

The camera and its functions seems to be better as well on the iPhone 6+. The slow-motion, time-lapse and cinematic functions are pretty cool.

Build quality, all metal compared to Note with its plastic back.

The iPhone 6+ has a 1080p screen which will require less power and battery to handle than a QHD screen, seriously QHD is just overkill! 720p resolution on my old Note 2 was fine. The QHD display will only make the Note 4 slower. The white colors on the iPhone's LCD screen will also be pure white compared to yellow/green/pink/blue whites on the amoled screen of the Note 4.

The biggest pro in my opinion for iPhone 6+ is iOS. Nicer looking and just a smoother experience. Touchwiz is a lagging hell and the bloatware on Samsung phones are just awful, you could root it but it's pretty risky. I wouldn't do it to a new 700 euro phone. Plus it requires some technical skills most people don't have.

However, the Note 4 is cheaper, has upgradable storage with up to 128gb sd cards and has a S-Pen which comes in handy sometimes. The amoled screen is gorgeous with vibrant colors and black colors being completely black/turned off. Amoled screens don't seem to have light bleeding, I haven't seen one with it compared to LCD which it's very common (returned my iPad Air for this reason). Only downside of the amoled screen are some pretty nasty viewing angles with white colors not being pure white as I've mentioned. There is also the risk of the mura effect with a faint grid like pattern/lines visible on the entire screen, google search "mura effect amoled". All my amoled devices had that issue.

Thank you, I can confirm the Galaxy S4 came boated with apps I didn't use or want. My biggest complaint though was outside viewing. I liked my iphone and always said I would go back when the screen size increased. Disappointed though is 16 GB won't be enough so it will cost allot more, especially with CA full retail tax and AT&T upgrade fees.

As someone else so eloquently stated:

"Damn. The iPhone 6 Plus pictured next to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 looks like Kate Upton pictured next to the Hunchback of Notre Dame in drag with acne problems in the hospital with 100 stitches after getting toxic acid thrown in his face."

    Enjoy. :)

I'm really curious what on the Note 4 is more compelling? I do like the s-pen myself but non enough to sway me.

The design, the hardware specs, and the software. The multitasking alone on the Note 4 has me drooling.

Yeah no problem. Glad I could help. I'm also between the Note 4 and iPhone 6+ but I'm leaning towards iPhone.

After using Android for three years now I'm kinda tired of the slow speed and the poor optimization of software and hardware. I want instant response when I touch something on the screen, no lag/delays. High-end Android devices might brag about their specs but the fact is that they require more power to run Android and as I said they're not optimized. Consider this, iPhone apps are optimized for one phone, while android apps are not that optimized for the hundreds of different Android devices out there. Plus the apps are better for iOS.

I've kinda given up on Android and specifically Samsung.. they don't seem to understand that they need to remove or improve touchwiz and make more powerful single cores instead of adding more cores all the time...

The one thing I will miss though is the openness of Android. Accessing files on the device and downloading torrent apps was one of the reasons why I went with android for so long.

I'm the other way round. Got all Note devices plus the watch so I wouldn't switch even if I thought iPhone was as good as the note for my needs. Which it isn't.

Specs are some random numbers, marketing throws at you to make their product look superior. I never understood how people make decision based on numbers, most of them don't understand (e.g. CPU Clock). (Last sentence is Not directed towards you since I don't know what you know about those things ;) )

Both phones SoC's are going to handle everything you throw at them. Nevertheless the iPhone could be more future proof because it has to drive less pixels.
Both screens will look great, it comes down to what you prefer (OLED or IPS).
The SPen is something you simply won't get on the iPhone.
The iPhone is beautifully integrated in its ecosystem.

These are things you can consider safe bets right now. If you can't decide based on this wait for reviews and try to get a hand on the iPhone if you can wait.

S Pen... Lmfao at least you have a good place to stick it.

You think the Note 4 is ugly? I think they're both incredibly good looking devices.

S pen, yep I stick it in my pen silo on the phone. Sorry bro I'm heterosexual, I don't roll that way but thanks for the offer.
