Every november Macrumors turns into a US advertising website for getting 10% discounts. I hope there will be a new website that only focus on Apple rumors soon and is country independent.
Without advertising or links to follow for sales, a site would need to require a subscription.

I appreciate MR content and forums enough to visit the site without any ad blockers and follow the occasional sale link, but I don’t pay for a membership.

As for BF sales, I'm largely disappointed in the quality and quantity of the sales. I've largely not purchased anything. I wanted a second Apple TV for my living room, but Amazon has that discounted like 4 dollars or something silly. Apple doesn't have it on sale at all. Its not a need, so I can skip it for now.

I saw news stories about how active consumers were this BF, and I'm a little shocked. The wife and I make decent money but with inflation, its been hard making ends meet. We've cut down our xmas list and are not spending as much as we have as in prior years. The lack of sales that would draw me in, haven't helped. I recall hearing that many retailers are not having huge aggressive discounts, I guess why should they if people are still flocking to the stores

I bought a Starlight MacBook Air M2, 8/512 model, at Best Buy for $200 off -- with 24-month 0% financing so I don't have to cough it all up at once.

I feel similar.

I did buy some stuff, but it’s all stuff I need/will need, and stuff I’d rather buy with a slight discount than none at all next year (shoes and clothes). Anything superfluous, I’m skipping - including upgrading my old iPad Air 3 or my even older AppleTV HD/2015. Running all this stuff until the wheels fall off.

Surprised Macrumors hasn't posted about Apple gift card deals at other retailers.
  • Target: buy $100 Apple gift card (electronic), get $15 Target gift card
  • Best Buy: buy $100 Apple gift card (electronic), get $15 Best Buy gift card
  • Amazon (can do both):
    • Buy $100 physical Apple gift card, get $15 Amazon credit with code APPLEDEAL
    • Buy $100 electronic Apple gift card, get $15 Amazon credit with code APPLEDIGITAL
No links to avoid posting affiliate links, but they should be easy to find and verify you're getting the deal.
Thanks for posting this. I've been looking for discounts on apple gift cards like they've had in years past. 🙏🙏

Disappointed Target was only company I saw offering discounts on $100 gift cards. Usually amazon and best buy have them too.
Target, Amazon, and Best Buy are/were all offering deals/discounts on $100 :apple: gift cards.

Personally, a $15 Target gift card is worth more to me than a $15 Best Buy gift card since Target offers a wider selection of goods to use it on, not just electronics/services.

At Best Buy you get:

- a $15 Best Buy gift card
- Free Apple TV+ for 3 months (new or returning subscribers only)
- Free Apple Music for up to 4 months (new or returning subscribers only)
- Apple - Free Apple News+ for up to 4 months (new or returning subscribers only)

Can’t get the iPad Air on Amazon to show $100 off…even at checkout. Anyone else?

Just an FYI...

If you happen to live near a Microcenter store and are interested in the 2021 9th-gen iPad (64GB, WiFi) model, they have it available through Nov 27. for $259 in Space Gray and Silver, $10 less than Amazon and Best Buy.

If you do video / creator stuff. great El Gato sale going on:

Their price reductions are also the same on Amazon.com.

Once again it’s all Amazon links. MacRumors can’t dare to tell you you can get the exact same deals at Best Buy, Walmart, or Costco. Nope, Amazon is the ONLY place to find the best Black Friday deals, and here’s our convenient affiliate links.

Why in the world would MR **it on the hand the feeds them? That makes no sense at all.

Best Buy has same watch pricing with more versions available rather than “see all buying options.”

Because when you write an article claiming the best Apple deas still available and ignore that other stores still have the same deals while Amazon is already out of stock on some items or the price has gone up, you are pretty much lying to loyal readers.

Is Amazon the hand that feeds MR, or is it clicks?

That's a pretty serious accusation.

Here's a link to MR's Black Friday deals, which includes: Apple, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Costco, Staples, and others.

Agree with what has been said about BF this year.. I really wasn't feeling compelled to buy after the M2 iPad Pro release.

I would consider an MBA, but the M2 heat and battery issues make me heistant. That said, I really do appreciate having the pencil and think the iPad is a good solution for having a mobile setup (currently dealing with a heavy-ass Lenovo Legion 7 as my laptop... what a nightmare).

I snatched up a refurbished 12.9" M1 iPad Pro on Amazon for $899. With the magic keyboard for $299. I finally bit the bullet and got the Amazon credit card with the $200 gift card deal. What was nice is I could still purchase on my business credit card for 0% financing for 12 mo. All in all it came out to a little under $1300 with Asurion protection plan that was also less than apple care but i'm sure more of a pain to use. I'm feeling pretty good as it was pushing to $2000 for the 2022 iPad setup before black Friday.

First time in 13 years I'm not buying any Apple product at all before Christmas. Thanks to Apples greedy prices in Europe.

B&H Photo has $200 off the base model of the M1 Max Mac Studio, down to $1799 from $1999.
I ordered one. I was planning to get a refurb from Apple, but this was $120 cheaper because B&H doesn't charge sales tax.

Likely going to pull the trigger on a new MBP or Air for my wife this week.

The Amazon price cuts plus additional 5% back (via Amazon Visa) make these hard to pass up.

Ok... Then pick one up at Costco for $499
damn the joke rly went over your head like a lead balloon lmao—Apple literally made a typo on one of their own products in their Black Friday email, a hilarious and astounding thing for a trillion dollar company
